My name is Wade Rowland and I am the Executive Chef at Cheakamus Centre. My culinary service industry career has spanned over twenty years’. I was trained at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts as well as Vancouver Community College in Malaspina. I completed my apprenticeship at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler in 2005. I answered the call of Cheakamus Centre after running local kitchens for several years. My goal at Cheakamus Centre is to develop knowledge and appreciation of the place and the impact of food, in our lives, our society, our economy and our environment. I am a long-time local, living with my family in Sea to Sky corridor for the last 14 years. Join me in my journey on ensure that sustainable food practices are of the utmost importance.
